There are sauna suit models that stand out from the rest and are excellent value for your money. The Hotsuit Men’s sauna suit was on my radar for a long time. It is fairly durable, does a great job of heating your body and keeping it hot during your workout. In this review, I will show you some of its main features, characteristics, and drawbacks.
Our verdict: If you are looking for a fashionable sauna suit that will also do a great job at keeping you sweating throughout your workout, this is a solid choice. Besides not being true to original sizes and its steep price, the suit is one of the best at heating you up and warm your body to the point where you start to sweat profusely. It is odor-free and very easy to maintain compared to other sauna suits.

Overview & Features
Even though this suit is a little more expensive than the rest, it has plenty of features to make up for that. For instance, it is one of the lightest out of the other models I compared and reviewed and is also one of the best looking if this is something you are after. Now, let’s start with the materials used in it…
On the inside, this suit uses a patented material technology called Silver-heat 2.0 which is a sort of rubberized coating without the typical drawbacks rubber suits bring. These are mainly bad odor and being hard to put on or take off. The inside of this suit slides over your clothes rather easily if you decide to wear it for your warmup and then take it off. It also does a perfect job of retaining the head in and reflecting it back to your body, ultimately increasing the speed with which you will reach the operating temperature of your joints and muscles.
The outer layer is a nylon compound that is seamed up in patches which creates an interesting and ergonomic design that will tear up harder when you move intensively. Moreover, there are official windproof and waterproof ratings for the materials used here which is a rather rare feature even in this price range. Runners are often faced with winds when running outdoors which makes it harder for them to warm up properly, while this suit eliminates this factor entirely and isolates you from your surroundings for an effective sweating session.
In terms of sizes, there is a healthy variety here. The suits start from Medium and go all the way up to 5 XL. If you are naturally an S, don’t worry, as the Hotsuit sauna suit isn’t true to its sizes. This means that the Medium will fit most S people, while the Large will fit Medium, and so on. The issue mainly lies within the length of the sleeves and pants. In terms of width, the suit is perfect for a layer of clothes beneath. If you are planning on putting it directly over your body, then you can also get your size, but I’d recommend getting 1 higher just in case.
This suit covers all your body pretty well. The cuffed sleeves and pants create a good closure which isn’t too tight to cause discomfort. There is a hoodie that can also be tightened around your face providing extra closure. Still, this is a two-piece suit, meaning you will either have to tuck your top part in your pants or have a t-shirt beneath in order to keep your waist covered all the time, no matter how much you move.
There is little to no ventilation on this suit which is a major drawback for some people that sweat more intensely. Still, the front part of the hoodie can be opened up quite a lot with the diagonal zipper. That will provide enough airflow to your chest and will cool your core down a bit if you feel like you’re overheating.
Washing and anti-odor properties
In terms of washing, this suit can be washed in a washing machine but you should avoid machine drying it, as that can damage its inner layer. I would recommend hand-washing it as well, which will increase its life expectancy. Sauna suits are usually pretty sensitive to any type of washing or drying, so make sure you use lukewarm water and don’t dry it directly under the sun.
As for odors, this sauna suit is one of the few nylon/rubber compound suits which doesn’t acquire odors after heavy workouts and doesn’t promote bacterial growth if not washed properly.
Apart from the fashionable design, another thing that is worth being mentioned is the luminous logo which makes it safe fo runners out there and makes you easily visible. Still, if you are running at night, I’d suggest taking the necessary safety precautions.
The protected rubberized zippers are also worth mentioning. They are very easy to use, rarely get stuck, and are also watertight. The ones on the pants are perfect for wearing your smartphone in them while training, even though I would advise against putting any type of device into a sauna suit.
If you are looking for something a little bit cheaper, I suggest heading over to my 2Fit Heavy-Duty sweatsuit review which has similar functionality with a slightly cheaper price tag.

Sauna suits, in a lot of ways, replicate the conditions found in a modern steam room and there are a lot of benefits and risks to that. To find out more about those, head over to my detailed article on this topic.
Conclusion & Rating
As a whole, the HOTSUIT Men’s Weight Loss Workout Sweat Suit is one of the best on the market for a variety of reasons. First of all, its patented compound materials all around the suit are excellent at heat insulation and are specifically designed to retain water and heat. The suit is also waterproof and windproof from the outside, which makes it a perfect addition to any runner’s gear. However, the few drawbacks might be deal breakers for some people. For instance, the price isn’t particularly low, even though it fits the product well. The sizing is also a little bit weird, so make sure you pay attention to that. Other than the seams not holding moisture well after months of usage, I have no legitimate complaints. I rated this suit five out of five stars.
